Emory to James Silas Moore who was born June 19, 1846 in Alabama and died July 7, 1928 in Calhoun City, Calhoun County, Mississippi. He was a veteran of the Civil War, serving in the 22nd Alabama Infantry. They were the parents of seven children, of which five lived to maturity. One child died as a "babe" and one son died age 17 years 10 months from Tuberculosis. (See Moore ).
