He married on February 26, 1927 to Janie Lorette Bailey born October 17, 1911, daughter of James William and Lou Bera (Easley) Bailey.

2125151221 James Taylor (Jimmy) was the founder of Caviness Woodworking Company, Inc. which is today the worlds largest boat paddle manufacturer. Jimmy was an avid fisherman, hunter, and trapper; basically a "jack-of-all-trades". He is buried at Pinecrest Cemetery, north of Calhoun City, Calhoun County Mississippi. Jimmy and Lorette's children were as follows:

He married on May 22, 1954 (divorced 1997) to Norma Ruth Pickering born March 23, 1936, daughter of Hulet Erwin and Evelyn Mabell Anglin Pickering. They had three children.

She died August 26, 1994 as a result of an automobile accident. They were the parents of one son. Don married second Gloria Jean "Jennie" Kelly Kisner. Jeannie has two children from a previous marriage, Kelly Kisner and Carson Kisner.
